In honor of Latin America’s countless contributions to the silver screen, a group of local actors, producers and film scholars has formed to put together the first annual Festival de Cine Latino Americano in Fort Worth.  The Cine in La Gran Plaza in South Fort Worth is opening its doors the evening of Thursday, September 22, 2016 to kick off a weekend of film, fun and a fiesta to remember—complete with hosts that are known locally AND nationally!

Dozens of films from all over the world—from Texas to South America, and everywhere in between—are being screened to bring attendees the best of the best from short films to documentaries to feature-length pieces.  Entries will be judged and winners will be chosen to win awards that will be presented on the final night of the Festival (Sunday, the 25th).  Entries should feature Latin talent and/or be filmed in the Spanish language.  Anyone wishing to learn more about entering should visit https://filmfreeway.com/festival/FestivalDeCineLatinoAmeria.
